Mamores Round
The Mamores Range is a fantastic running playground with loads of runnable ridges, technical sections, and stunning views. To run the whole thing as a round is a fantastic journey, which has a history going back decades.
See Scottish Hill Runners for a more detailed history of the round (drop down tap ‘Tour of the Mamores‘)
The route includes all 10 Munros plus Sgurr an Iubhair (which used to be a Munro until declassified). My Start and finish was at Achriabhach (touching the bus stop sign).
Sgurr Eilde Beag - Munro Top not Munro - was not included for the reasons that I didn’t on the previous record, it’s not a Munro, and it’s not included in Tranter’s or Ramsay’s Round.

Winter Mamores Round
Winter in the Lochaber hills brings its own, varied challenges and rounds will often be more about winter mountaineering skills than running.
